Workshop on IPM Demonstration Farms in EU Member States

Integrated Pest Management (IPM) is a core element of the EU legislation on the sustainable use of plant protection products. It is one of the core elements of the "Sustainable Use Di-rective (SUD)".

In order to demonstrate IPM measures and strategies some EU Member States have successfully implemented a range of demonstration farms which are an important link between research and practical management. Demonstration farms are considered a key system to disseminate IPM innovative techniques.

Therefore a two-day joint international workshop on demonstration farms took place in Bonn on the 24th & 25th May 2016. The workshop was co-organized by the German Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture, the European Commission DG SANTE and the ERA-NET "C-IPM".
